Botanica Zoo || Reticulated Giraffe || Clyde by LadyPipen Botanica Zoo || Reticulated Giraffe || Clyde by LadyPipen
"Darwin used Giraffes and their long necks to help support his theory of evolution, claiming they evolved to reach the tops of trees to graze on leaves out of reach of other animals. However, this theory has been challenged. Since Giraffes usually graze at shoulder level- the same level other animals also graze at- the new theory for the evolution of Giraffe's long necks is for the purpose of "Necking"."
